Arthroscopy is undertaken with a few minor skin incisions and causes a very small scar and pain. A rapid recovery is observed compared to open surgery. The operation takes approximately 1 hour and the patient is discharged a few hours after the operation. The stitches don’t need to be removed as dissolvable sutures are used.
